Ingo Senst

was born on December 12th 1964 in Braunschweig, Germany. Between 1987 and 1992, he studied double bass at the Hilversum Conservatory in the Netherlands.
The skill and clarity of his accompaniment within and beyond the genres of swing, funk, pop and modern jazz have made him one of the most sought after sidemen of the German jazz scene.
Ingo is a member of the Glenn Miller Orchestra as well as the Dutch Funk & Hiphop band RtR, whose last album was nominated for the Edison award. He has recorded with the Hessischer Rundfunk Bigband,and also with German Popstar Sasha (single “Lucky Day”).
As a free lance bassist, Senst tours worldwide with such notable artists as, Tom Gäbel, Benny Bailey, Jeff Cascaro, Onita Boone, Dusko Goykovich, Stephan Bauer, Norma Winstone, Paul Heller, Ack van Rooyen, Tony Lakatos, Thomas Alkier, Ramesh Shotham, Andy Haderer, Philippe Catherine, Silvia Droste, and the Modern String Quartet. Ingo Senst has been a resident of Dortmund, Germany since 1995.
